Poetic Justice

I've had this idea kicking around in my head for a few days, but I didn't have a suitable picture.  Finally, I amended the story to suit a picture I already had and liked.

Here it is:

A New Poll

I've added a new poll to the site.  Most of these polls have been very informative, and I appreciate everyone's participation in them.  I am constantly looking for feedback, so I use these polls to focus my attention.  Hopefully, that focus will make this a better site.  That said, my intention with this particular poll is to try to figure out what sorts of stories you all prefer.  So, I simply asked what your favorite of my stories is.

The choices are:

1. A Warrior Reborn
2. The Black Wtich
3. Wide Right
4. Gene
5. Just a Joke
6. An OBU story (one from my other site, The Omar Bell Universe)
7. None of the Above

I hope that most of you who visit my site will vote, as I only want to figure out what you like most so I can create a better experience for you all.

Finally Happy.

I liked this photo because of the sheer joy expressed on the face of the girl in the background and the look of cautious expectation on the one in the foreground.  Does the caption fit?  I think so.  I've often wished that I could just take the pictures myself, and I could get exactly what I needed.  I suppose I could draw it, but that takes a LOT more time than just using existing photos.  However, I do think that, as a writing exercise, captioning is quite beneficial.  You see, you don't have the luxury of setting a scene.  You have to use an existing situation, create characters out of that situation, give them a history, and then tell a short story.  It's like literary improv.  Are the stories always good?  No.  But I think that I grow as a writer with each one.

Anyway, that's all of the writing talk I'll bore you with today.  On with the caption!

Sissy and Proud

This is my attempt at a (risque) PSA.  I think it turned out okay, though I generally prefer longer captions.  I was going to go with an iPod-esque silhouette thing, but I didn't like the ambiguity of how that turned out.  However, I did end up using the bright background.  So all was not lost.  It's not as clean as I would have liked (presentation, not content), but I think it's okay.

Here it is.

The Future of Male Swimwear

I hadn't done a role reversal caption in a while, so I decided to remedy the lack.  This one was actually very difficult to get right (and I'm still not completely happy with it), but I do like the caption and background.  Anyway, here it is:

Daddy, your little boy is growing up (and getting feminized!).

It's a simple little conversation, but it say so much.  I want to know more, and I wrote it.  I might write a little short story about these two "non-sissy" boys.

I've had this picture for a few weeks, and I've been working on it (off and on) for the last few days.  I probably started over a half dozen times.  The problem I was having was that I just couldn't get the penis right.  Either it didn't blend.  Or it just looked out of place.  Or the angle was wrong.  It was maddening.  So I shelved it for a couple of days, and worked on something else (more on that later).  When I went back to it, I figured out what was wrong; sometimes all it takes is stepping away from something for a while to really see what you're doing wrong.  So I fixed it, and voila, a captioned photo.

I've always liked the idea of a fraternity feminizing one of its pledges.  Many frat boys already treat women like sex objects; why not a feminine boy as well?  So that's where this caption came from.

As for the project I've been working on...I'm close to finishing my "Warrior Reborn" series (close as in probably 10-15 pages left).  However, I will be publishing the series in its entirety -- all three parts -- as an ebook.  I'm not sure where I'm going to put it (probably Smashwords, Lulu, or on the Kindle), and I certainly don't know how much it's going to be (if it's not free).  But I figured I'd use this (which is probably my best work in this genre) as a way to gauge interest in my work.

Anyway, I'm excited about it, so I thought I'd let you all know.  Hope you enjoy the caption!

Truth or Dare

The first order of business today is to acknowledge a milestone.  This blog just passed my other (The Omar Bell Universe) in terms of fans.  This is significant because it was created about 6 months after OBU.  I know it's not really fair to compare the two.  This blog is more generalized, and OBU is a very niche sort of fetish.  Added to that is the fact that I simply don't update OBU nearly as often as I do this blog.  I've cited my reasons for this previously, so I won't go into it now.  So I'm not really trying to compare the two; I'm just acknowledging this blog's fledgling successes.

Okay, now that that's out of the way, onto today's caption!

I liked this picture because I have a thing for public nudity.  I only altered the picture very slightly (look closely and you can see it), and I think it turned out well.  The background didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped it would, but it's passable.  The caption is just your run-of-the-mill, almost generic, mini-story.

Anyway, judge it for yourselves.

What have I done?

I've always had an inkling of an idea for a story where I could truly explore the psyche of a typical antagonist from a forced feminization story.  You know -- the spurned or abused wife, the business rival, the wronged subordinate, etc.  I really would like to get in their mind, and feel their rationale, to live through their justification, and then, finally, see their realization that what they've done is inescapably evil.

Anyway, I haven't had time to write such a story yet.  I don't know if I ever will, simply because a character study like that probably wouldn't interest the majority of people who visit this blog.  Anyway, that's a long prelude to a caption, but it might give you an idea of where my head was when I wrote this caption (it's a little darker than usual).

Here it is.

Undercover work can be dangerous to your masculinity.

This caption is a little more brutal than I typically write, but I think it's effective.  As an added bonus, I only had to alter the picture a little.

Spicing (and sissifying) your sex life

Turning the Tables

I found this series of photos just sitting on my hard drive today.  The layouts were already done; all I had to do was write the story.  It's strange, because I only vaguely remember doing it (maybe it was at 3am when I was half asleep one morning).  I have no idea what the story I originally intended was, but I like this one as it is.  Hope you do too.  Not a long series, but I think it's effective.

Maybe it IS genetic.

It's a short caption, but I think it's effective.  They can't all be novellas I guess.

A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

As you can tell, I like the idea of a male "lesbian."

Know what you want, and go for it.

I didn't do much of a background here, but I don't think it detracts from the caption.  I've had months, but I had never gotten around to modifying it.  So I just wrote a caption that didn't need any.  Hope you like it.

An Easy Decision

I've started to write a caption for this picture a few times, but none of them seemed quite right.  It's such a great picture (I didn't even have to modify it at all!), and so suggestively erotic, that I wanted the caption to fit perfectly.  I don't know if I quite accomplished that, but I am somewhat happy with it.  Anyway, here's the caption.

A question of ownership

I have been coming across some of my work in other places.  Some, I've found myself when searching for source material.  In other cases, I've gotten emails from fans.  So, I've been considering putting a watermark on my captions.

I hesitate to do so simply because I use photographs owned by other people as my source material. I actively remove watermarks myself.  My issue, though, is this:  I don't really care if someone else uses my work.  I don't mind if they save my captions and post them in their own galleries/blogs.  I'd just like for people to know that they're my work.  I do spend quite a bit of time doing these captions, so I'd like to at least get credit.

However, as always, I will bow to your judgement.  Do you care if there's a watermark on my captions?  I put a poll up to get your answers.

Please pardon our progress!

I've added a few pages to the blog.  The first is a caption archive (fittingly entitled Caption Archive) which contains every caption I've done for this site.  The rest are pages dedicated to each photo story I've done for this blog.  I hope this makes the blog easier to navigate.

Be Careful What You Wish For

I don't know why, but I really like the way this caption (and background) came together.  Maybe I just have a bit of a soft spot for boys as Hooters girls.  I just hope the text is big enough to read.

The sissy secretary has always been a favorite of mine.  I'm not sure why, either.  Maybe it's because of the stereotype associated with secretaries, that they're often employed because of their looks or because of "favors" for the boss.  Or maybe it's just that secretaries are one of the last true bastions of old gender inequality, and I like the idea of making a male experience that inequality.

There are quite a few good stories and captions focusing on this sub-sub-genre, but the best I've seen was a story/interactive slideshow produced on a (now-defunct) blog called The Sissy Trainer.  All of his/her work was quite good, but for some reason or another, I really enjoyed the one titled Pink Slipped, about a man who loses his job and is persuaded to go to work with her as a secretary.  Of course, this leads to his feminization.  One of the best parts about it, however, was  the way the woman introduced him to femininity.  She dressed him in shorts, a blouse, and tights.  This picture reminded me of that, so I decided to make a tribute caption.

Oh, and if anyone knows where I can find Sissy Trainer's work, please let me know.  I'd love to see it again.

Anyway, here's the caption.

The Prodigal Sissy Returns

I'm a big fan of a man (or sissy) being the feminine, submissive partner in a heterosexual relationship.  I like the idea that a man is such a sissy that he can't imagine having sex with a woman in a conventional way, and instead becomes something akin to a male lesbian.  Anyway, that's where this caption comes from.

Drawing the line...

I like the subtle "captured moment" type of photos.  Sure, staged photos with models have their places, and I've used quite a few of them, but there's definitely something to be said for the grainy amateur photos.

Anyway, here's the latest caption.  I hope you enjoy it.

When Rivals Become Lovers...

This one actually came together very quickly, and I think it turned out well.

Getting ready for a new life.

I hate chat bubbles.  There. I said it. They've just always felt so clunky to me.  I know they work but I'd rather try something different (especially with t he single frame captions) and fail than be safe and conventional and it be okay. So, I like to try different ways for my characters to have conversations.  Some work. Some don't.  In theory, this one should have worked, but I'm not so sure...I do like the picture, though.

Rehabilitation = demasculinization

This is a slight change from the role reversal captions I've been making over the past week or so.  Sometimes, you just need a good ol' fashioned forced feminization caption.

I actually like how this photo turned out -- it's not perfect by any means, but it's pretty good.  The background is pretty cool, as well.  On a side note, I think I've discovered a technique which will make the manipulations blend a little better, and I plan to implement that in the next caption I do.  Hopefully, it'll work out well.  If not, I can always do it the old way.

Anyway, here's the latest caption.

I've made no secret of the fact that I absolutely adore the idea of gender role reversal.  I've toyed with the idea that women will one day overtake men as the more masculine gender, leaving men to take the more submissive role in sex and society.

Even though it's all pure fantasy, I do think that, in our culture, men and women are slowly blurring the gender lines.  For instance, women are encouraged to display masculine characteristics such as aggression and competition while men who display those same characteristics are vilified.  The best example I can think of is the realm of sports.  Sure, masculine sports are alive and well, but increasingly, male athletes are pigeonholed into the "dumb jock" stereotype while female athletes are praised as "strong women" or other such positive monikers.

Do I ever think men and women will switch roles completely?  No.  But I do think that slowly but surely, we're progressing toward a time where their roles are roughly equal.

That said, I do think that it's very fun (and sexy) to turn things on their head, and switch those gender roles up.  And one of the best examples of this is a pair of stories I read a while back set in an alternate reality.  These stories, by Bob H, are really sexy, and function on the premise that men are the smaller, more feminine gender and women are the larger, more dominant gender.   Basically, you just switch their genitalia, and you have his world.

The stories are extremely good (especially the way he describes sex between a man and a woman), and can be found on Fictionmania at the following:

Switch World: Genesis

Many Worlds, Inc: Switch World

Both are fantastic stories, and highly recommended.

So, me being who I am, I decided to start a caption series based in that world (sort of).  Some details may differ (I'm NOT removing body or facial hair from an entire person), but the idea remains.  I hope you enjoy the first in that series.

It's only a matter of time.

Another day, another gender role reversal caption. Enjoy.

Silly boys...

I decided to have a little fun with the layout of this one.

It's no surprise.

I've had this picture for a while, and I had a caption in mind. But I just never got around to writing it (or doing the background).

Those words -- I don't think they mean what you think they mean...

Simple, but effective.

Honeymoon

I've been on a bit of a role reversal kick lately, so I'll just continue that with this one.  I love the picture; it turned out so much better than I anticipated.  And the caption just kind of fell into place.  Hope you all like it!

This is probably one of my favorite photo modifications.  And the caption isn't horrible either.  Enjoy.

Time for a triple...

I really like this one's design -- simple but effective.

This one's not my favorite in terms of layout, but I do like the caption/story concept here.  And I think the picture is well done. I'm still toying with different layouts to use, so I hope you'll all bear with me as I work out the issues.

Finally, I did this one kind of as a throwaway caption.  It's not long, but I think it says quite a lot in its few lines of dialogue between the two characters.

Hope you all enjoyed these.

An Arranged Marriage

Too Far

Role Reversal

I've always liked the idea of gender role reversal, and I've been wanting to make a caption about it for a while now.  I toyed around with trying to place different people in images together, but I wasn't really satisfied with the result (lighting is a pain to get right).  So I just took two unrelated pictures, and I altered them for a little photo story.

I intended to just throw the dialogue in there, but I couldn't help myself.  I'm a huge fan of world-building in my stories, so I went ahead and established a new one here.  It's not unique.  Nor is it terribly creative.  But I like it.

The photo's size is enormous, so I hope it translates well.  Anyway, enjoy.  I certainly enjoyed making it.
