I like being looked at.

I had high hopes for this picture when I found it.  It's such a feminine activity, putting on makeup.  The caption turned out okay, but it's not my best work.  I do like the soft colors of the background though.  It kind of invites you to relax and just go with it.

A New Way

I wrote this caption a few weeks ago, and I have to say, I really like the idea.  I admit that sometimes I get caught up in the back story of my captions.  I can't help it.  I always want to make everything "make sense."  So I find myself concocting these alternate histories/futures where my captions and stories achieve that goal. 

Rather than try to focus on that world-building in a caption which should tell a simple story, I chose to make a caption telling the history.  And I think it works magnificently well.  The picture is very sexy and the caption tells an interesting back story.

For some reason, I love making these kind of plaid backgrounds.  They aren't easy to get right, but I do like the way they turn out.

"Male" Prostitute

I was watching an episode of HBOs "Hung" the other day, and I got the idea for this caption.  For those who don't know, the show is about a man who becomes a male prostitute with a female pimp.  Role reversal aside, it's a pretty good show, and some of you may be interested in the fact that it had a TG-related pair of episodes recently.  Anyway, I got the idea for this caption.

The picture isn't my best manipulation, but it's far from my worst. I absolutely love the background, though.

Yay! It's published!

It's done.  I finished it today, so I figured I'd go ahead and publish A Warrior Reborn on Smashwords.  The way Smashwords works is that the work is available immediately online via its listing on Smashwords (in a variety of formats -- HTML, ePub, etc.), but it takes a week or two to become available on individual devices such as the Kindle, iPads, iPhones, etc. 

So if you decide to read it on your computer, I recommend that you download the Kindle viewer, and read that version.  It's the best in terms of formatting. 

As to the content, the first 60% of the book is previously available here or on Fictionmania.  The last 40% is all new material, and wraps up the tale. 

I put it up for 2.99 -- the book is on par with other erotic fiction (even cheaper than some) and contains quite a bit more content than is typical.  Either way, I hope you all get the chance to read it.

How do nice guys finish again? Oh yeah...

I like the idea of a backfired plan.  It's just fun to imagine the unintended consequences of a schemer's plans.  This caption focuses on that theme.

A Warrior Reborn is completely finished now (I might put in an epilogue, but I haven't decided). All I have to do now is formatting and cover art.  So, we're on schedule for a Tuesday 11/22 release.

Was it a mistake? Or was it a clever plan? The world may never know.

When I saw this picture, I knew immediately what the caption would look like.  It took a LOT of modification, but I finally tailored the picture to fit the dialogue I had in mind.  And I think it turned out wonderfully.

I fully intended to save this caption for a more appropriate date (Valentine's Day), but I just couldn't help myself.  I'm impatient.  That's just the way I am.  I guess I'll just have to make another Valentine's Day themed caption in February.

Househusband

Usually, when I do role-reversal, I tend to set it in a world where it's widespread.  Men are feminine and women are masculine.  However, there is something that can be said for the isolated reversal where a particular husband and wife switch roles for their own reasons.  This is one of the latter.

Fans have to watch something, right?

This is one of my favorite captions I've done because it follows a logical (if far-fetched) progression from a real-world issue, and it ends up with something of a role reversal trend. 


The picture is also  a very good piece of work (I don't mind tooting my own horn when I think I deserve it...which isn't very often).  I'm quite proud of this piece, and I hope you all like it as much as I do.

Beauty has no gender.

This picture actually took quite a bit of modification, but I think it turned out fantastically.  I really like the idea that eventually, the idea of the beautiful, feminine man will one day become mainstream.  If it did, I imagine that publications such as Playboy would feature male models.  In the realm of my fictitious ad campaign, it's not a stretch that those models would then speak up, and urge other boys to follow in their footsteps.

I know this might be getting a little far afield from my normal captions, but I do really enjoy making these little advertisements.  I hope you like them too.

Another Sissy and Proud Advertisement

I love the idea of an activist group which promotes the idea of male femininity.  We're not quite there yet as a society, but it can't be that far off.  There are groups which advocate acceptance of nearly every other demographic -- why not boys who are, by nature, feminine?  Too often, those boys (and their female counterparts who are masculine) are forced by our society to conform to the traditional views of how their gender should comport themselves.

So, I made up a little fictitious ad campaign promoting the acceptance of feminine boys (dubbed sissies).  The campaign is named Sissy and Proud.  Do I think such a campaign would be as risque as I like to make it?  Of course not.  But I can't help myself.

A First Attempt at a Motion Caption Story

I hope this video turned out okay.  I've watched it a couple of times, and while I like it, I'm well aware that it is far from perfect (the transitions, specifically aren't a little abrupt.  I really liked the source video, and I enjoy the extra oomph that a video (as opposed to a picture) can bring.  That said, it's a pretty basic story coupled with a very sexy little video. 

I wish I had the time/energy to create a little animation for you all. It would be so much easier to start from scratch rather than having to use existing material that only *mostly* fits what I'm looking for.

A Public Service Announcement

I couldn't resist posting this as soon as I got through with it.  It only took me about 20 minutes (taking a break from real work!), and I think it's so simple and elegant.  The only tricky part was to get the background to blend with the picture. The idea was to emulate a billboard you might see driving down the interstate, and I think it fits the bill quite nicely.

I love writing stories, usually the longer the better.  Most of the time, I have to police myself when writing captions because I want to tell every little detail.  With limited space, that's sometimes a problem.  So I have to force myself to focus on the theme of the caption, which is really, really difficult for me.

Which makes a caption like this so refreshing.  I knew what I wanted to do with it as soon as I saw the picture.  One sentence, but it conveyed everything I wanted it to.  As most of you are aware, I really enjoy making these advertisement style captions (maybe I missed my calling as a graphic artist for some advertising agency), and this one was no different.

I hope you all like it as much as I enjoyed creating it.

What's Going on Here?!

I love this photo.  Sure, it took a LOT of modification, but I think it's one of the best I've done.  I'm really, really pleased with it.

And the caption is one of my favorites as well.  We've all met people that we're sure are living a lie.  They can't even admit to themselves what they want.  Heck, some of us ARE those people.  This caption taps into that idea, building upon it by establishing a situation where a closeted sissy just can't help himself sometimes.

I hope you all enjoy it.

On another note, I mentioned the video that I worked on yesterday, and I just wanted you all to know that I finished it last night, and I plan to post it in the next couple of days.  It's not the greatest in terms of transitions and stuff, but I think it's an effective ~8 minutes.

As scheduled, "A Warrior Reborn" should launch next Tuesday (barring a major editing fiasco), and I hope all of you will take advantage of it, and purchase the e-book for your computer or e-reader.  Said purchase will help keep me captioning (via a new version of Photoshop) and will make me feel all warm and cuddly inside.

Maybe She's Onto Something

You all know that I like the idea of the unaware male.  This extends to guys not being able to admit to themselves that they're not really into women.  Naturally, I focused on that for this picture/caption combination.  I hope you all like it.

A Birthday Surprise

This caption is one of my favorites that I've done.  There's something about the idea of a boy finally succumbing to his desires.  Sure, he might deny it, but deep down, he knows (at the very least, subconsciously) what he wants.  And I like to document that moment when he finally gives in. 

The picture required way more modification than it looks like (which, I guess means I did a good job).  Getting the chest to look right was really, really difficult, but I think it really adds to the photo/caption combination.

An Unexpected Reaction

Today's caption was inspired by some captions I recently discovered on Imagefap.  They are the work of Wxhluyp, and they are really quite good.  The only thing holding them back is that sometimes they are hard to read (we've all been there!).  However, they are well worth a bit of squinting as the content is superb. 

Wxhluyp imagines a world where most men would identify as Androphiliacs (attracted to masculinity).  Only those alpha males are truly attracted to women.   The only thing keeping the majority of men from openly pursuing sexual relationships with (real) men are cultural and societal norms. 

There aren't many captions yet (only about 20 or so), but what's there is really sexy.  If it sounds like something you would like, I highly recommend that you check the gallery out.  You can find it HERE .

I remember a while back, one of the sites I really, really liked kind of disappeared.  I'm not sure what happened, but one day it was there, the next, it wasn't.

Backed Against a Wall

I had the idea for this caption as I lay in bed last night, trying to go to sleep.  One of the things I'm cognizant of is that some of my "heroines" really aren't.  They change these boys for completely selfish reasons.  Sure, I do like to tie a little ribbon around it, and make sure that it all works out usually, but that doesn't change the fact that what they've done is wrong.

So, I wanted to write a caption with a completely justified heroine -- you know, a woman who lives up to that moniker.  I decided to write a story with an abused wife as my protagonist.

Sometimes, you're just in the right place at the right time.

I've had this scenario in the back of my mind for years, but I had never written anything about it.   I love how the caption came together, too.  The picture...well, it's okay I guess.  I have issues when I'm working with a previously altered picture.  Before I started working with Photoshop, I would never have noticed it.  Some of it is really subtle.  This one...not so much.  I knew at first glance that something was off, but it took me getting down to the pixels to really figure out what was wrong.  So, I had to fix that first, and then alter it to fit my needs (which meant reducing the breast size to almost nothing).  It's not horrible, but it's far from the best I've done.

The Bachelorette Party

This caption kind of had a mind of its own...and that's how I like it.  It practically wrote itself.  I just set up the situation, and it flowed out. 

I've always had a fascination with a boy getting treated like a woman by male strippers.  We've all seen the videos (or if you haven't, go look up Dancing Bear on Google) of women going crazy at these stripper parties.  I like the idea of a boy going to one of these, and giving in the same way they do (and getting treated just like one of the girls).  So that's where this caption came from.

The photo manipulation isn't perfect (I'm always trying to get better!), but it is light years ahead of where I was even a few months ago.  I think I'm really starting to understand how to work with colors in Photoshop.

As to the background, it's very, very basic.  It's not nearly as cool as the one I did for my previous set of photos, but I think it's effective all the same.
