In the past, I've run into a problem with the way I write. Or maybe it's not necessarily my issue, but rather a perception thing. Let me explain. In my mind, I make a clear distinction between the author and the characters in my stories. Sure, there are elements of my personality in the majority of them, but, in the end, they are wholly different people. Usually, that's not that huge of a deal...as long as the character has nice things to say or do. However, when I write villains (as in the Omar Bell Universe), people have a hard time separating my views from tha

Sometimes, I employ my humble talents to create what I consider Tribute Captions in which I pay homage to other people's work that I find interesting. It's usually pretty difficult - adapting my own style to reflect another person's isn't really in my comfort zone. So I don't typically do it that often. However, every now and then, I find a photograph that just screams "Tribute" to me. And this is one of those times. I don't even know where I found the picture, really. But when I first saw it, I thought Rythaleon's Quest (from Male Protection). The seri

One of the things I enjoy most about doing this is writing stories that reflect the action in a given picture. Sometimes, the story matches better than at other times, but I do take quite a lot of pride in letting the two elements work together to evoke a certain emotion or tone. However, as I've recounted before, I tend to get a little carried away with my stories. I want so badly to write a fully-realized narrative that I sometimes forget that I have very limited space. The result is tiny, tiny font (in relation to the picture). I know I've given instructions a

I got a little carried away with this caption (meaning that it's a little long, and probably too small of a font to read properly). So I decided to go ahead and put the caption in this text as well, in case it's impossible to read. So here it is:When we decided to go to Morocco on vacation a few years ago, my husband and I had a certain level of expectation. It was supposed to be paradise. The beaches, the culture...it was supposed to be the trip of a lifetime. And I suppose it ended up like that, after a fashion. The trip started out so wonderfully - my husband and I h

I haven't made a real post (with text) lately - just my typical caption-of-the-day thing. I've been a little distracted over the last few weeks, so my ability to focus on this blog (and the accompanying correspondence) has been quite limited. However, I pride myself on responding to the fans of my work, so here I'm going to try to answer a few questions in one fell swoop. I'm not going to assign names or anything to these questions, so if you've asked one recently, just skim through and find yours. Here it goes:1. I was asked recently about my other (non-erotica) work.&

Many times, I find myself hindered by my own stories. I'd love to have the time to write full and realized stories for each caption, but with each photo taking as long as it does (hours rather than minutes for the ones with heavy modification required), I simply can't afford the time allotment necessary to write a real story. So, usually, what happens is that I start writing with a grand idea, and about halfway through, I realize that I simply don't have enough room to fit the whole thing into the caption. So I take the font down a size. Then another size. And then, whe
